On the morning of September 21, Forop Advanced Materials Co., Ltd. officially commissioned its 25th globally advanced film production line at the Forop Green Smart Manufacturing Production Base at its headquarters. Chen Qina, CEO, Mao Jianquan, Co-President, and other company executives attended the commissioning ceremony.
The commissioning of the 25th production line represents a major step in Forop's strategic development of five production bases across China during the first year of the 15th Five-Year Plan period. With 25 production lines and a designed annual capacity of 1.15 million tonnes, Forop has established the world's largest film-materials production capacity by scale.
This achievement is far more than a simple addition of production lines and capacity. It represents an industrial transformation driven by efficiency, technology, and strategic vision. It marks not only a major milestone for Forop, but also a historic step forward for the global film industry.
Strategic Milestone
16 New Production Lines in Four Years Create a Super Matrix for the Film Materials Industry
From the opening of the Fuqing Smart Industrial Park at Forop’s headquarters in March 2023 to the commissioning of the 25th globally advanced production line in September 2026, Forop has achieved a landmark transformation from a domestic industry leader to a global frontrunner.
Over the past four years, the company has commissioned 16 new globally advanced production lines—a pace that reflects the company's distinctive"Forop Speed".
2023: Three production lines were commissioned. The Fuqing Smart Industrial Park at the headquarters was opened, and the Weifang production base in Shandong was completed and put into operation.
2024: Five production lines were commissioned. The Nantong production base in Jiangsu and the Chengdu production base in Sichuan were successively completed and put into operation.
2025: Three production lines were commissioned, and the Zhaoqing production base in Guangdong was fully completed.
2026: Five production lines were commissioned. The Forop Green Smart Manufacturing Production Base at the headquarters and the Highly Functional Film Project in Jiangsu were fully completed.
With the completion of all 25 production lines, Forop has achieved the phased completion of its nationwide production-capacity network across East China, South China, Southwest China, and North China.
This is not simply an expansion of production lines and capacity. It marks the completion of a film-materials super matrix covering China and serving global markets.
Future Strategy

The commissioning of the 25th production line is not the end of the journey. It marks the starting point of a new chapter.
Looking ahead, Forop will focus on three strategic priorities.
1. Strengthening the Technology Foundation

The company will continue to increase investment in research and development, improve its R&D system, and strengthen its talent-development pipeline. Working closely with partners in raw materials, equipment, formulations, and processing technologies, Forop will pursue breakthroughs in advanced functional film materials.
The company will also upgrade its product portfolio from "large-volume and broad-market"products to products that are more advanced, precise, specialized, and technologically sophisticated. These efforts will provide strong support for green smart manufacturing and high-end global supply, accelerating Forop's transition from a scale leader to a technology leader in the film industry.
2. Integrating Green Manufacturing, Smart Manufacturing, and Digitalization
At the Forop Green Smart Manufacturing Production Base, the company has taken the lead in establishing a highly intelligent closed-loop process covering material feeding, production, packaging, and warehousing.
Supported by distributed photovoltaic power generation and advanced environmental-protection technologies, Forop has developed a robust green smart manufacturing system.
In 2025 and 2026, Forop was successfully recognized as a Fujian Provincial Green Factory and a Fujian Provincial Advanced Smart Factory. These recognitions represent official acknowledgment of the company‘s achievements in green and smart manufacturing.
Going forward, Forop will continue to deepen the integration of green manufacturing, smart manufacturing, and digitalization. 3. Advancing Globalization and High-End Products
Building on the production-capacity foundation of its five production bases, Forop will accelerate its international sales development and further establish a high-end film-materials supply system.
Forop’s products are currently exported to more than 50 countries and regions across six continents, including Asia, Europe, and Africa. The company ranks first in China‘s film industry by export volume and continues to accelerate its global expansion.
In the high-end product segment, Forop has successfully achieved mass production of several technologically advanced products, including:
8 μm ultra-thin BOPP film.
Mono-material recyclable BOPE film.
Ultra-low-temperature heat-sealable BOPP film.
Bio-based BOPP film.
Protective film for lithium-battery separators.
In the future, Forop will focus on strategic growth areas including high-end printing and packaging, sterile medical packaging, key materials for new-energy batteries, and fully bio-based recyclable flexible packaging.
